A WEEKEND IN PHILLY

April 21, 2015

This past weekend was the perfect time to visit my best friends in Philly-- the weather was gorgeous, the magnolia and cherry blossoms were in full bloom by the Art Museum, and we drank the first iced lattes of the season (my favorite time of the year!) outdoors. I love having an excuse to visit this great city so often because of my incredible friends. Until next time, Philly!

We had afternoon coffee at The Monkey & The Elephant, a coffee shop where young adults formerly in the foster care system are given the opportunity to work, build skills, and transition into adulthood. Not only are they doing some amazing work, but they have fantastic coffee and a beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy it in.
We spontaneously stopped by the Philadelphia Museum of Art by dusk, and I'm so glad we did: the magnolias and cherry blossoms were in full bloom all over the museum grounds.
Keeping with the al fresco theme of the weekend, we had a dinner at Frankford Hall. Definitely a great spot for groups, with delicious German food, drinks, and ping pong in the beer garden.
